“Then He who sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new…”
This verse refers to the eternal state and God’s promise to make all things new.
There are so many times during our lives here on Earth, we have a chance to be made new, or make something in ourselves new. Each step we attempt to take in a better direction is a step worth taking. We are all searching but many of us do not know what the search is for. If we would each look in the right direction, we would find the answer had been in front of us all along. That direction is Jesus. He is the one who can make us new while on this Earth. We can make small changes in our lives but only He can make the ultimate change.
Many people have a resolution which they make each year as we put behind the old year and begin again in the coming year. We say at the beginning of each year, this is the year I will lose those 10 pounds. This is the year I will pay off that bill. This is the year I will heal that breach with my loved one. The list goes on and on. We start so sure we will make our goal this year only to find after the first couple months, we lose the drive to finish the race and we slowly come to a stop.
This year I encourage you and me to embrace a true new season in our lives. Let us gather close to Jesus and let Him make us new here on this Earth. Let us ask Him to guide us in our search to better ourselves. Let us lean on His Arms to surround us when we feel weak and cannot go on. As long as we are looking to God and asking Him to show us the path in our new life, we will always find it. A new season, a fresh start, what a wonderful, everlasting gift from our Father in Heaven.
What will I do with my new season? What miracles will I allow God to work through me for others? What growth will I enjoy as He directs me?
“Behold I make all things new…”
Let us start our journey towards our eternal state and that promise from God. Let us start that journey here…what will I do with my new season? What will you?
