‘“Matt, You know God still has a plan….”
“Kate, please just stop! I just don’t want to hear it right now…” Matt cut her in mid-sentence as he raised his hand in protest.
Kate sighed helplessly and instead placed her hand gently on his shoulder. She so badly wanted Matt to see that even in the midst of everything he had been going through lately that God loved him and would work it all out.
‘God still has a plan?! You may so desperately ask. I just lost a job, a loved one! I had my closest friends walk out on me when I needed them the Most! Yes… even in the most desperate of situations you can find a faith and a boldness that says “God still has a plan and is working it all out for my good!’
There is nothing that takes God by surprise and He doesn’t get a panic attack when everything in your life seems to be going wrong or working against you. He is still sovereign and all powerful. He is a loving Father who will use those very things to work for your good. To mature you and prepare you for what He has in store for you ahead. He is in your past, present and future… His eyes are ever on you!
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28)
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)
You can boldly proclaim;
‘Your Spirit hovers over my waters, over my emptiness
When my heart is crowded by doubts and fears and I
Cannot hear your voice, cannot feel Your presence
I cry out in my desert and I lift my hands in faith
Lord I still believe!
Your Spirit hovers over my waters I know,
You can make something out of my nothingness,
You will make rivers to flow in my desert I know this
For Sure! I speak Your Word and I wait here in silence,
Lord I believe! I let go and wait for you…..’
